Scott Maczuga’s personal martial arts training began in 1975 in Tae Kwon Do. He began his teaching career in 1991 when he managed the North American Koei-Kan Karate headquarters in Detroit, MI USA.
In 1993, he opened his own martial arts school with multiple satellite locations.
As a former Michigan state and national champion Kyoshi Maczuga has competed and placed in competitions all over the country. His students have won state, regional, and national championships in the sport karate arena, including the Junior Olympics. Maczuga has had the honor of positively influencing thousands of student’s lives internationally for over 30 years.
Kyoshi Maczuga has taught corporate self-defense programs for fortune 500 companies. He has trained and managed security / bouncer teams all over metro Detroit and has performed as a personal bodyguard both armed and unarmed.
Kyoshi Maczuga continues to travel, train, and teach all over the world – including North America, Australia, Asia, and Europe. He has earned black belt certifications, in several Martial Arts – Koei-Kan Karate, Shotokan Karate, Ashihara Karate, and Martial Arts World (Tae Kwon Do / Hapkido) while cross training in others like Greco-roman wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jujitsu, Russian Sambo, and Muay Thai. He currently holds a 7th degree black belt thru the American Black Belt Association, and is a certified Krav Maga and Muay Thai Instructor. He is a certified Public Speaker, Referee, Life Coach, and Author.

As such he serves his franchisees as a business coach, teacher, and mentor, specializing as a leading expert in the field of personal development and designing life success from early childhood through adult. He is also an internationally recognized speaker.
